Ever feel like some spontaneous fun? Saturday, Jonathan had to run some errands before hunting camp. But we need to make some memories.... ...and before the kids are fully awake may be the best time, LOL. They just sat down to watch a morning cartoon and we scooped them up and put them in the car. C had a grin from ear to ear, not knowing what what coming, but that it had to be good. J began her questions. We drove through Krispy Kreme's drive through and ordered a variety of donuts, over the squeals in the back. Needless to say we enjoyed a special memory and treat for breakfast. It's nice to be the "fun Mom" every once in awhile.
That afternoon J and I were able to go to a ladies fellowship. She didn't know what the "Lady Party" was all about, but had overheard she gets to eat treats. Plus, she got her hair curled with a ribbon in it (she looked like Alice in Wonderland). It was a "Think Pink" ladies fellowship also focusing on October Breat Cancer awareness. As we found our seats one of the first things found and flipped over was a door hanger with "how-to" diagrams for a self-exam. Nice (sarcasm). I had to explain it was not a coloring page. She enjoyed her chocolate treats and being a girl through and through asked if she could have more chocolate treats. Keep dreaming.... ...chocolate dreams. The funniest part was on the drive home. J rattled off a constant monologue of her interpretation of the event: making announcements, giving ladies directions, asking for volunteers, etc.! She's bound and determined to take over the ladies ministry at the church I think ( :
