Last year we had to literally TEACH our kids how to have a water fight. This year they had a blast... ...ganging up on the BABY! Poor Baby ) :

I finally got some sewing projects done this summer. We were gearing up for our big trip to Spokane. I made "seat belt pillows" and car activity books. But I couldn't resist this fabric when I was at the craft store... ...bright, with lots of colors, just like my JJ likes it! When I finished, she announced "Mom, I think this is the most beautiful dress I've ever had!" Aaah, heart melter...
Dad came home and suprised the kids with a pool and Strawberry popsicles!
CC also had his first hair cut... ...see, he is SO excited! Is it terrible that I laugh at his pouty face? He pulls out this same look when told "no", pooching out his lip even more, squeezing his eyes shut, dropping his body to the floor, face down, covered by his arms. It's all very dramatic... ...what do I do, LAUGH! I know I'm terrible (who keeps sending kids to this uncompassionate momma anyway?!).

Off to Spokane! On our way we stopped at the Whittman Mission. We got there just as they were opening in the morning and the ranger let the kids help raise the flag!

Finished the month by making a quick trip to see Great Grandma with Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle Ben! Uncle Ben is the BEST merry-go-round spinner!!!
