December
1st- Decorated the house
2nd- Drank Hot Chocolate
3rd- Read a Christmas Book
4th- Decorated the Tree
Jonathan took them to a tree farm and the kids picked out the tree. I was working at the airport but met them later at Nana's house for the Sorensen Christmas party (planned so Sarah and James could have a part). Great time of food and fellowship. I was told JJ got to hold Baby Morgan and sat with her as long as anyone would let her. She is also asking a lot of questions about nursing ( : The brothers played football and the kids got to go to Uncle Brent's and hold labrador puppies. Then Nana took all the grandkids downstairs and played games with them and they got to pick prizes. Caleb and JJ received monster trucks. JJ also got lots of lip gloss (she is estatic). Then we left so we could get home to decorate our tree. The kids had fun, though they tried to hang all the ornaments on the same four branches, lol!
5th- Too busy at church with all day kids of praise practice.
6th- did the 5th & 6th, drink hot chocolate and make "record bowls". Just what it sounds like, bowls made from old records, color with crayons first. The kids loved it!
7th- We made Christmas sugar cookies together. We sent some to Pasco with Uncle David for Daddy.
The rest of December is a blur of activities with Jonathan coming and going to Pasco. The kids helped with yard work and cooking. We also attended an "ugly sweater" Christmas party and the kids had their faces painted like Rudolph at the Foster parent Christmas party. Cute!
On Christmas (my parents) Grandma & Grandpa flew up. The kids were excited to see them. The 24th day of our advent calendar told the kids to look under their beds for a gift. New Pajamas! Christmas Eve, Dad finished telling the Christmas story to the kids with my nativity set. Then we tucked the kids in bed and talked about what was happening in the morning. It is at this point it just begins to dawn on Caleb what is taking place in the morning, LOL! Though I still think I was the most excited for Christmas morning out of anyone, therefore had the hardest time sleeping! ( :
We enjoyed a lazy Christmas day! Each child received a "big" gift. JJ got a doll house and Caleb homemade Lincoln log set (they are amazing; thanks Bro.Galloway!). The kids stayed in PJ's all day.
